What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
OS (Linux distributions, UNIX or ...): Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid
Architecture (i386, x86_64): i386
IBus version: 1.3.9
Input method name and version: anthy m17n
Python version: 2.6.5
dbus version: 1.2.16-2ubuntu4
dbus-python version: 0.83.0-1ubuntu3 (which I think means python2.6-dbus)t
gtk version (if bug is about gtk applications): 2.0
qt version (if bug is about qt applications): 4
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Have ibus running with or without the input method enabled
2. Open up a qt application (or some other non-gtk app) and copy text from
it with ctrl-c.
3. You can paste the copied text within that application with ctrl-v, but
if you move to some other app. (say open office) nothing will happen when
attempting to paste.
4. However, if I right-click selected text, select copy from the right
click menu, and then move to another application I can successfully paste.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Please provide any additional information below.
I've experienced this problem when trying to copy text from skype
(http://www.skype.com/) and anki (http://ankisrs.net/). The behavior began
to occur when I upgraded from ibus 1.2.0 (version in the ubunut repository)
to the most recent version. If I quit Ibus, I no longer experience the
problem.
