New issue 1232 by [email protected]: No way to call up IBus
http://code.google.com/p/ibus/issues/detail?id=1232
System Information
OS (Linux distributions, UNIX or ...): Gentoo GNU/Linux 2.6.36-gentoo-r8,
GNOME 2.32.1
Architecture (i386, x86_64): i386
IBus version: 1.3.9
Input method name and version: Any
Python version: 2.6 in use
dbus version: 1.4.6
dbus-python version: 0.32.2
gtk version (if bug is about gtk applications): 2.22.1-r1
I built a fresh Gentoo system today, but after emerging IBus I cannot call
it up properly.
IBus daemon is shown in the GNOME pane, but the defined shortcut
(Ctrl-space) doesn't work, and the language bar is empty with no language
shown even if I have two input methods in my list.
I have tried with exports in .xinitrc and have added ibus.conf to
/etc/X11/xinit/xinput.d/, but neither have any effect.
