Hello,
I have already filed several issues here, including one very basic problem
about missing ibus icons with KDE. It seems that the developers and most
users use Gnome and rpm-based distros. I use KDE and a deb-based distro
(Kubuntu). Thus, I encounter problem that others do not see.
It seems there is a lack of beta-testers for a system like mine
(KDE/ .deb). In order to contribute something at the same time as I am
getting help fixing my problems, I volunteer to be a beta-tester for the
KDE platform.
I'd like to learn how to create a .deb package with the latest (stable or
beta) ibus code and set up a ubuntu ppa so that I can easily install it on
my system and be able to provide useful feedback to the developers.
The first step is figuring out how to get the latest .deb, update it to the
latest code and add it to a ppa.
