Let me mark this bug as a duplicate of Issue 513, which is still open.
Issue 1062 may also sounds interesting for you.
Tone is often used for Bopomofo/Zhuyin users and tone is requested by some
Pinyin users as shown here. I think we should at least keep one Issue open.
