OK, update simple.xml manually should work(I haven't try yet, I just donwgrade to 1.4.2).
But I want to know why we use this predefined 'simple.xml', to not support any layout that not include in this file. Not just my custom layout, there are many other layouts in /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols(installed by package x11-misc/xkeyboard-config on Gentoo) not include. Is this a design decision ?
