New issue 1602 by [email protected]: IBus does not respect my keymap
settings using XKB
http://code.google.com/p/ibus/issues/detail?id=1602
I want to swap the Left_Shift and Left_Control key on my keyboard in X.
Following the advice from http://unix.stackexchange.com/a/65600/32799, it
worked well until I triggered IBus using Ctrl + Space to switch input
method. Afterwards, my customized keymap settings were reset.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
OS (Linux distributions, UNIX or ...): Arch Linux
Architecture (i386, x86_64): i386
IBus version: 1.5.1
Input method name and version: ibus-libpinyin
Python version: 3.3.0
dbus version: 1.6.8
dbus-python version: 1.1.1
gtk version (if bug is about gtk applications):
qt version (if bug is about qt applications):
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Following the instruction from
http://unix.stackexchange.com/a/65600/32799 to customize your keymap
2. Inside X, load the customized keymap
3. Press Ctrl + Space to trigger whatever input method you want
4. Then your customized keymap are gone.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The expected result should be IBus does not reset my customized keymap.
Instead, it did for the moment.
Please provide any additional information below.
