Probably 'xkbcomp' command would be an idea to save almost customized
keymaps.
An xkb engine provides layout = "default" and set that engine at the first
queue by Contrl+space and log in the session again.
And then the customized keymap is not changed with that default xkb engine.
After you run 'xkbcomp' to save a file with an ibus panel menu item, the
default xkb engine always load the customized keymap by 'xkbcomp'.
