My system: Debian sid amd64 with gcc (Debian 4.8.1-6) 4.8.1
As discussed in the ibus-devel list, it is desirable to support "-Wformat
-Werror=format-security" option for gcc to reduce possible security
problems as the upstream.
This compiler option is mandated by Ubuntu and strongly recommended by
Debian distribution.
Attached patches should address this problem for ibus from the git repo.
