I wonder if the bus is KDE but not ibus-qt.
GTK calls XkbSetDetectableAutoRepeat() and it seems KDE does not whether
ibus-qt is enabled or not.
Does it better for you to file a bug in KDE to get the thought of KDE
upstream?
