Reading the thread, I guess the "Language Options" is not ibus.
ibus is still under the development but originally we don't touch ibus
kimpanel.
So you would need to install ibus + gtk3 on KDE.
ibus gtk modules are not needed for QT applications but ibus-qt needs to be
installed.
If you wish to ask ibus kimpanel in ibus upstream, it would be good to file
it but I'm not sure if we can get the resources for the implementation.
