I cannot reproduce your problem.
1. In Freemind (reproduced in 0.9 and 1.0.1 ,java version "1.7.0_67" 64
bits),input an item
2. Then press "enter" key to begin inputing another item
I don't understand what are items.
I think "space" key to commit preedit characters in ibus-libpinyin.
