Hi, My comment then an introduction. >From the dimensions of that mainsail on ebay, in spite of the heading, it is for a standard rig, actually just a tick short for a standard rig. the luff on a standard rig mainsail is 28.8 feet this is 28.1 The tall rig should be a full foot longer - 29.8'. My good news is that it is exactly the right size for my standard rig. I am new to this list, actually I was a member years ago and lapsed. However I still have my old Catalina 27, "Gypsy Star" Hull 3431, 1977- going on 15 years now.. Atomic 4 power. We sail mostly the Hudson River, out of Kingston, NY, race sometimes, but not on a regular schedule. Been keeping the old girl afloat for some time now and she's been a reliable, and comfortable companion. In my "other" sailing life, I am Sailing Master of the Periauger "Mercury" a reproduction 18th century Dutch style periauger common on the Hudson River in the 18th and early 19th century. They virtually disappeared with the coming of steam and our Mercury, built by us and a Maritime Academy for at risk boys near Albany, is the first of her kind in over 150 years. Nice to see so many other old girls still out there. Gene Tozzi C-27 #3431 Kingston, NY **************A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. See yours in just 2 easy steps!
