Hello all, I was given the opportunity to buy the companionway hatch off of a 1980 catalina 27 which has the mid-boom traveler. I have a 1974 catalina with the older end-boom traveller.
Does anyone know if these hatch top covers are interchangable? I have a single hatch with front and rear faced teak and flanges that fit into teak rails on the sides. Theirs seems to have two parts a front and rear cover with a cut out to fit around the mast. The front part seems to have the flanges on the sides and a teak front surface. The parts are in ohio, I am in pittsburgh and my boat is in maryland. I was planning on replacing mine since the front and rear teak pieces on mine are missing/damaged and the flange seems weak. Any thoughts would be grately appreciated.
