I just bought a 27 and raised the main that came wiht the boat. The head of
the sail was about a foot from the top of the mast. The boom was hitting on the
bottom of the removable mast track plate where you take the sail on and off
from. My question is does your boom ride above or below this plate? If I take
the plate off and let the boom ride above it the mainsail will go to the top of
the rig. Or should I just keep the boom below it and get a mainsail cut taller?
