I don't know, a cruise of the ports and Brew-pubs of Lake Ontario may just have that beat (given that the sailing season is only six-months long). Our sailing club bar has 5 taps of Micro-brewery products, inlcuding the true Nectar of the Gods, Wellington Arkell Best Bitter......
Wish I was there right now!
Any other Lake Ontario sailors on the group?

Bruce and Charlene, I do appreciate the offer and may file it away for use later. But I do notice that these offers don’t come until the temps have reached above bone chilling cold here in the east… Now if you or anyone else wants to experience THE Absolute Best in sailing, come on down and out or up (whatever direction you need to make it here) I will treat you to sailing on The Chesapeake Bay and we can top it off with some Maryland crabs!

Starwind, is also always afloat in Newport Harbor (CA) and stocked with Kahlua (unless I have drank it all), Merlot, some type of white wine, and various beers. I also extend the invite for any East Coasters craving a winter sail to come on out!

Marc and I have our c27 moored in San Diego Bay. As we are geographically removed from the Carrabian and the euphoria of the rum experience, we have found that Napa valley merlot seems to have the same results experienced by our fraternal cat 27 bros on the East coast. We do also enhance our libations with peanuts in the shell. As a footnote to you all on the other coast, you have an open invitation in the wintertime as The Brown Eyed Girls is always afloat. A while back -- during the dark cold days of winter - may have even been before the switch to Yahoo - there was a discussion of a really important topic. RUM!!!

Well, I have important news to report Y'all must try a shot of Meyers Original Dark Rum in a highball glass with ginger ale and an ice cube or two. Nectar of the God's my friends. Guaranteed to reset your attitude and overcome any stress resulting from your efforts to get your boat off the hard and onto the water in sailable condition.

Right now I have my newly purchased '75 Cat 27 nearly ready to go - got the title transfer problems with the State of New Jersey and the State of New York just about straightened out - mooring gear all assembled and now in the river -- redid all the brightwork - new bottom paint -- will get the hull buffed up tomorrow - scrubbed the interior-- - '85 Honda 100 outboard is purring like a cat on liver -- checked out the through hulls - spiffing up the hull and deck -- complete set of new sails -- just cut and assembled the new CDI roller furler -- will find out if we measured twice and still cut too short-- but with the help of my friends we will get it installed this Saturday. BUT - at this moment I have a glass of Meyers and ginger in hand and life is good.
