John,

I'm sure you'll get lots of differing opinions on this, but, for what it's
worth..

I'd put the ATN on the top of the list..

The rigid "Bell" shape of the feeder is IMHO by far the best design.

I've seen and used a couple other types and the ATN out performed the others
every time..
I personally have a RING type. It's OK but It occasionally tips and jams the
sail. ATN's Bell housing still feeds the sail nicely when tipped.
Yes, the ATN is heavier and bulkier, but the trade off is worth it.

Which ever one you decide on.. Insist on getting a sock with TWO pockets for
the douse lines !!

Avoid, like the plague, any sock without at least ONE line pocket.. "Tangle
city" ! One pocket is still a pain in the butt, at times.

And insist on a DIFFERENT colored pocket or Stripe on the outside of the sock..
So you can see any twists.

I have no connection with ATN, I just like them....

  Subject: [IC27A] Jib Socks

I am about to order a jib/genoa sock for my roller furled standard rig
Catalina 27. Any advice, suggestions of product, opinions (opinions on this
list, preposterous).
