So I missed a bulge in the deck above the aft part of the keel before I bought the boat, thankfully the surveyor brought it up and now I'm wondering. It LOOKS like the stands weren't tight enough while my boat was on the hard for 1-2 years before it became mine. From the looks of it the rear of the keel was supporing too much weight, and has made a visibly pronounced bulge at where he steps hit the deck in the companion way. Anybody else familiar with the issue? Other than the bulge there doesn't seem to be any "problem" associated with the storage error; no cracking or anything like that. Is this someting I need to worry about, or is it harmless? Moreover, is there a chance the keel might "drop" back into place with enough time in the water?
Thanks in advance, Mike
