Close the through hull. Remove the hose from the through hull that feeds the engine.
Hook a garden hose to the through hull - hose clamp it down. If you need to use reducers or a 5/8" garden hose make sure its a tight fit. Turn on the water and open the through hull. It should back flush the fitting and get any junk out of it.
