If you have the Catalina Direct replacement sheaves, 5/16ths seems to work
really well.  I used to have New England Cordage 3/8ths, but the splices near
the shackle were fraying from rolling over the masthead.  3/8ths is really over
kill for a C27.  If your concerned about going up the stick on 5/16ths, I'm
over 200lbs and have done it numerous times without any problems.

I bought most of my running rigging six years ago from Cajun Trading in Canada
and the line has held up well.  Unless you are a serious racer and want
extremely low stretch their line should work just fine.

I just picked up my 27 last thursday and it looks like there
are a couple of different Halyard sizes on the boat. What size lines should i
use for each application. Main, Jib, spinaker?
