I have rigged such a device using my hasp inside such that no one can lock me inside. Merely close your hatch almost all the way and put an eye on the inside of your sliding hatch such that you can raise the hasp over it and lock the cabin companionway boards in place to the inside the sliding companionway eye from the inside. Has anyone rigged up a method of locking the sliding hatch into the cabin from the inside? We overnight in downtown Louisville occasionally which is not the most secure place to tie up. I have a couple of ideas but wonder if someone has devised something that works well and is not too obtrusive. I've seen a nice method on C30s but that won't work on a 27.
