This is sailboat season on Lake Travis. It's a little too cool for skiing and swimming, so most of the power boats are idle for the season. The 105F days are in the past and now there are the pleasant fall winds and fair temperatures. Yesterday was one of those perfect days on the lake. There were many cruising sailboats and the UT Sailing Team doing their weekend practice races. I was on the last tack to the marina, with about an hour of sun left in the day when I went forward for a view and captured this picture.
http://www.sailtravis.us/Pictures/dscn0600.jpg The view is looking into the sunset with the sun just above the frame and behind the clouds. The location is South of Windy Point with Commanders Point Marina just left of center, zoom in to find the masts. Look for the other two sailboats. I hope the group doesn't mind me sharing this picture. John 1985 C-27TR 5956 "Cool Change" Marshal Ford Marina Lake Travis, Austin, TX
