Outright OEM replacement is one solution. My table ripped all the screws out of the piano hinge when the latch failed during a blow on the mooring.
I repaired with epoxy, but the veneer tore and didn't match up again. Has anyone found a substitute material for that heavy pressed board? I've got enough 3/4" marine plywood - would that be the best choice? What else would be lighter but sturdy? Tim #6254 Spirit
