Don, I replaced my original traveler with a Garhauer back in 1999-2000 it was
thier model MT-2.  It has a 6:1 purchase and is about 4-5 inches over the
sliding hatch at its high point.  I've been pleased with it.  The stainless
steel risers will burn you in the FL August sun. I will try to attach pictures
- they weren't specifically of the traveler so if you want better of the
installation I'll have to take some this weekend.  Where is Niceville?  Anyone
going to the boat show in St. Pete this weekend?

I am considering replacing my mid-boom curved traveler with a flat one from
Garhauer.  I have an 86 model with the narrow hatch.  Anyone done this?  I am
wondering if I need the 6:1 purchase, or will 4:1 be enough.  Also, how much
clearance is between the traveler and the sliding hatch?
