Ditto. Teak in mine as well. As far as refinishing goes, there's a product called green strip which is odorless and eats through old varnish very well. Be sure to paint it on, it comes in a spray bottle, as it will do your gel coat some damage. Then sand from 80 grit up to 150 or so in 3 stages. I used this method on some teak pieces from my interior with great success. The best part is the fact that the stripper has no fumes. Be patient and have fun.
