Joel -
      I can't speak for anyone else, but we always use the forward  
port cleat I'm sure that the starboard one would do just as well, but  
the anchor hangs on the port side of the bow pulpit and we just got in  
the habit of doing it that way. Just tie it around the cleat as you  
would any other line. Happy anchoring!
