Robert and All The name of the company that fabricated the new tiller strap is Accurate Machine Service, 7922 Baltimore, St., Baltimore, MD 21224. POC Dave Maley, 410/284-6703. As I previously mention they did an excellent job. The strap is made of 304 stainless and in 2003 cost me $135.

I did visit Catalina Direct and the part that broke is the horizontal ( well more like NEE (smile)) part. This part has 3 screws. In my case this arm broke on the second, middle screw. I am still trying to comprehend how it could happen, what combination of forces and circumstances did this? I contacted John and asked him about the address of the shop that did his replacement part and of possibilities to borrow his old, welded part. I am a bit reluctant to drop 600 bucks for the new part, especially that I only need 50% of it. You might say that I am very frugal (cheap?) guy. Again, thank you to All of you, Best Robert [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
