The foam filters seem to last about 5 years, then deteriorate. The engine eats
them, but does not appear to do any damage. Some say you don't need them
because the air is cleaner on the water. I say, it couldn't hurt, even if they
are ridiculously expensive for a little piece of foam. I think I gave $12 for
one at my local Universal dealer.

Hi Catalina People,
Went to clean the air intake foam filter and didn't find one.
Can somebody with an M18 tell me I am not alone and this is by design.
