There was a recent article in Cruising World Magazine about various types of bulbs and they reported that LED's conserve considerable power over incandesents  up to 50% but some of them give off bright blue light which they reported was irritating to those of use that are older. They stated that the dimmer light is easier to read with and is easier on the elderly eyes.

hi all,

in an attempt to conserve battery power while at anchor i've begun the process
of switching out incandescent bulbs for led's. have any of you already done this
and if so how has it affected your electrical situations? thanks- rob
