Hi All,
I have a 77 C-27, the keel bolts are original and have not been touched in,
probably 33 years. Does anyone know of any problems with keel bolts? I'd
hate to have them fail unexpectedly.
There has been no movement of the keel in the 15 years I have had the boat
and the "Catalina Smile" is unchanged in all that time. Is there some way
to reinforce it, perhaps with additional keel bolts? The corrsion of the
nuts visible in the bilge is not bad, but I have made no attempt to loosen
them.
