Actually we sail in Pueblo. There is no water in Colo Springs! Denver lakes are
too crowded!

Just out of curiosity, where do you sail in Colorado Springs?

I raised the mast and launched our C27 on Friday with my wife and kids help.
It went real smooth.Went for a shake down cruise on Sat. The wind was howling
probally 20 knots gusting to 30,so we killed some time installing some new
hardware and tried tuning the rig to wait for it to calm down a little. After a
couple of hours it didn't calm down much so we decided just to go for it. We
reefed the main at the dock and headed out. The hardest part of sailing in that
kind of weather is just getting in and out of the slip.
the C27 is such a great stable boat and did great. I sailed and raced a Merit
25 for years and while it is a great boat it doesnt handle heavy weather like
the C27. The wind died just as we were pulling into the slip so we had no drama
docking
  Love the boat.
Hope everyone has a good season!
