I understand we have different configurations; however, I mounted my cockpit table on the spindle for my Raymarine ST4000+, tiller pilot. I gimbaled it to a 4 part lanyard line with a dead weight. In an anchorage it does well, but with any significant wave action (8"- or more) it is ineffective at dampening the oscillations. By the way, my cockpit table is a relief of the dinette table.
