Hi all! Though I've been lurking for a while, this is my first post (hopefully the first of many). I purchased C270 hull #189 in December of 2007, and love it!
I'm currently in the middle of a major propulsion overhaul, and wanted to query the group on prop sizes. Now, I know this is one of those areas that gets debated quite often. There are so many variables that go into this, and lot's of different opinions and experiences. What I'd like to focus on is simply the maximum diameter prop that can be mounted on the C270 (circa 1995) without breaking the established norms of prop tip clearance to the hull. Anyone running a prop larger than the original 13x10? If so, what are your experiences with it? Thanks! Todd C270 #189, Uh Oh! San Diego
