The numbers for the following look like they are in the right ball park.
There are about 10 hp electric outboards available, that run on a 48 VDC
system.
There are small 110 VAC gasoline driven generators, that are relatively
quiet.
Put the generator in the back locker with good sound insulation. One could
also use the generator when at anchor for lots of electric power - electric
skillet, lights, TV, etc.
Use a golf cart battery charger between the batteries and the generator.
The batteries go below the cockpit floor.
Add lots of flashing LED ornimentation lights, and you could be the
flashest sailboat in the annual marine parade.
Wonder what one could do with parts from the plethora of electric scooters,
kiddy cars, wheel chairs, etc.
