Hi Phil, I think the small amount of spam on this list can be handled with the delete key. You certainly have enough to do with out having to approve each membership.Please continue with your present protocols and we can delete the infrequent spam that slips in.

I don't know the logistics or how this list is managed or moderated or even if it is moderated, but I moderate two other lists, and I, as in other lists I am on, regard any spam originating from a member (and who else has access to the list) as cause for immediate removal of that member from the list. If it is a problem with the member's computer or browser being hijacked, then the member has the responsibility to correct the situation and reapply to the list. If it is a spammer who joins list to do this then eliminating from the list usually works. This is not just an inconvenience, some of this is dangerous to one's computers.
