That could be better stated as approximate.
 
Does one use the date when the boat gets it's first name, the date when it is first lauched, the date when delivery is taken at the retail dealer, the date when the final hardware is attached before shipment from the factory, the date when the deck is glued to the hull, - - - - - - ?
