Yes, he's our Fabio.

Then there is this video.

The gait looks diagonal, but there is alot of head bobbing going on
(fox trot?), then as he's making the corner it morphs into something
else (don't know quite what yet - but it's just a few strides)...then
at the end he moves into a cleaner trot - notice his head stops
bobbing.

Anyway, when we're looking for gaits....it's these 'in between' gait
phases or hints that I think we need to look for when assessing
whether a youngster is gaited or not. I know I'm training my eye and
my brain to notice these subtle changes...

I suspect that Dagur will be very well gaited and quite versatile
because he has a fairly nice trot. I hope he has "The Gusti Trot" as
well. So given time and some training and strengthening and
conditioning over a few seasons of riding....Cara will have herself a
sound, nicely gaited...brainy partner.

I hope I'm not boring anyone with these videos...I truly find these
guys move absolutely fascinating..

I can hardly wait to get Gusti under saddle again, and take some
videos of him...and find out what that floaty trot of his is made up
of...
