I get home way after dark during my 4 day workweek. So my husband
feeds those days etc. So yesterday, concerned about Nasi's swelling
down there, I called and asked if he would mind taking him for a nice
walk to get him draining good and all, and make sure he is eating and
drinking good etc.

So I get home last nite and my husband says "me and Nos-man went for a
long walk. We walked about 8 miles and he was pretty wore out at the
end, he was really dogging it and lugging up the last hill but I think
he got what he needed".

I said "I didn't want him WORN OUT, I wanted him taken on a nice easy
walk around" and my husband said "well he walked around all right. We
went into the creek and walked downstream about a quarter mile and
back and I splashed cold water all over his parts, took him over the
bridge, he aint afraid of bridges or creeks or cars by the way, he got
attacked by a pit bull but I taught him to run the dog off by turning
him to face it and running at him, i taught him big trucks and fast
cars are ok and he was fine with that, I would turn him to face the
scarey fast cars and loud rattley trucks and he was great with that.
Only problem... he decided to puff up like he thinks he is a big
stallion or something and he broke away from me and ran up to the
fence where the stallion is down the road and the stallion reared and
tried to jump the fence at him and Nasi started running the fence like
he wanted to beat him up so I had to catch him but all in all he had
an excellent adventure..."

I was appalled. But apparently it worked cause this morning I went
out and checked and nasi is DEFINITELY less swollen and acting like he
has a little spirited twinkle in his eye...

So I guess it is good to walk horses when they have been gelded.
