>>> The one of Flekka didn't show up for me, but the other two did. Fox
trot....looks like something Gat does sometimes...I get so confused with
these gaits.

Give it a few minutes and try again. Gat and Alex are so cute together.

Didn't you say that Gat was pretty pacey when you got her? It's hard to
freeze frame and see things accurately on You Tube, but I thought I caught
her foxtrotting on your videos at least a couple of times. I think that's
why a lot of us want these alternate gaits "blessed " as ok. If a horse is
inherently pacey by conformation, it's good to try to get them doing
something more towards diagonal for the long-term health of their backs -
but I think it in some cases it may be difficult, maybe even cruel to insist
on a true, two-beat trot. And like Kim asked, is it fair to INSIST that a
gaited horse trot if it's really not easy for them. To me, that's as cruel
as forcing a three-gaited horse to tolt. I couldn't tell what gaits Gat was
doing sometimes - always hard with a dark horse, especially indoors, but it
looks like she's doing a "real" trot sometimes, right? What did you think
she was doing most of the time?

But, it's awfully nice to see Gat looking better, and her and Alex looking
so cute together - I swear her sway back look improved in the last still
picture I saw of her. She looks as sweet as pie in there, doing her job
seriously with all the other horses, and I love seeing the kids posting and
starting to take their little jumps. They are such a good pair and they
seem happy together. Give them both a hug from me - makes me miss those
good old days...
