Okay...I am not a horse trainer, nor do I play one on TV. But..to me it appears as if this horse has a huge issue with having a rider is the saddle. I honestly do not believe that rider/trainer is "making" the horse go backwards or lay down. I believe the horse is doing it herself as a way to avoid being ridden or to get the rider off her back. I would like to know how the saddle fit this mare. I think it's a racing saddle?? And it looks like a race training arena?? Anywho...I do believe that the trainer is just on for the ride and really he is not doing anything "cruel" to the mare. He is allowing her to "work through" her under saddle issues. Again...may be pain related (saddle or bit)?? Raven
