At 6:40 am on Thursday, it's 29 degrees F, and raining with some snow mixed in. The high is only predicted to be about 32, although one forecast says 35. It was in the 70's this past weekend. There's ice on the deck and grass, but so far the roads are basically ok. Ice is accumulating on the trees...and on the power lines. I don't mind a little snow and ice - not TOO bad. But I hate it when we lose power. We have a well, so no power equals no water. Twenty-five horses drink a lot of water. We have big muck buckets full of water in the bathtubs, just in case.
