My husband is about 230 lbs and 5 feet 8 inches. He is used to a western
saddle. I have not found a western saddle that fits his horse. He cannot ride
a treeless. We tried. It made Gerillls back very sore. He tried custom
schleese saddles and they also made the horse sore and he hated the saddle. I
know a lot of the problem is the way he rides (balance, posture, weight, etc).
We are working on the weight and balance now. This saddle has done well on
Gerill. It does not fit my other Icelandics too well. I believe they would
require a wider version and Paul could really use a longer seat. I hope the
ortho-flex people at equine affaire will look at these issues for us. They
have been really good to deal with.
