thanks Kaaren, i thinks its so nice of you to want to help! The
problem with my Jas is not just the hi withers but the immediate dip
behind, and honestly, i dont see how it can be a bad reflectioon on
sensation saddles since I have not yet found a saddle on the planet
that will fit him! I do find with the sensation traikl model, since
he has such a long functional back, does just fine sitting where it
doesnt rub the withers! Except he has fistula issues with saddle PAD
rubbing on the sopine, so I have to be careful with that too. The
sensation trail model actually seems cut back ebnough to clear his
withers! but the nice pad I have doesnt. It is a medi cheval. I am
afraid to try any other pad except now I am thinking of trying a thick
felt cutback pad. Please everyone, None of this applies to
icelandics! I have never seen an icelandic built like a standardbred
and my jaspar is! He needs a wide tree in the shoulders but has hi hi
withers and a distinct slope behind. SO a wide tree sits right on the
withers and rubs. The sensation actually sorta pops up ion the front!
and that works for him! but the pad leaving clearance over the spine
doesnt work in that case so I am back to square one. I really feel
this sensation could work for him if I can find a cutback pad. that
also leaves spine clearance with no hard nylon rubbing edges near the
spine... i will send pics. Thanks Kaaren!! i love the saddle btw...
it is the only treeless i have ever ridden (and I have ridden many)
that dfoesnt 1. slip and 2. is more secure than any other treeless i
have been in.
