cotton is very abrasive and could severely rub a horse. They say: "Place your Ansür Saddle directly on top and girth up. The pad will not move if correctly placed and the saddle is secure." hahhahaha. do these people ever actually ride a horse?!!? I have a similar neopreme pad I got a long time ago. Its called a half pad maybe? Supposed to give back relief. Which is does i think but you have to remember if you pad up something it doesnt relieve pressure it adds pressure. The spine channel down the soft quilted pad looks ok but on jaspar thats not enough clearance. i would just save the $$ and get a cheap neopreme half pad, works the same Janice
