>Karen Thomas That was surprising to me too. When I was running the boarding stable in Marin, one of our boarders, Sara, had a horse that her mom gave to her when she was 5. She was 40 and the horse still be ridden very lightly at 35. We had several horses in their late 20's and early 30's still doing trail rides in Arizona. One of the best was 26 and acted 10.
