>>> just remember when you ride sina in her pad to make sure your riding attire appropriately coordinates. You wouldnt want, for instance, to wear plaid.
I get the feeling that my buddy Janice thinks I'm a wee bit frivolous for indulging in my color-coordinated tack. I've liked colors in tack for a while, but you know, this is something that I'm just now able to really enjoy. For so much of my horsey life, I've been fighting some major tack battle. Since I got Icelandics, it's been an ongoing struggle to find saddles wide enough and short enough for them. Then there was the struggle to find a suitable saddle for Cary to ride an Icelandic in a humane way. Now, it looks like we are set-up. Not only are we set-up, but we actually have options. It's a minor benchmark in my life that I can indulge in a girly saddle pad for Sina, even if I made it myself - at the moment, I don't have more "important" tack issues facing me. Not only does Sina have a tapestry saddle pad in a fleur de lis pattern of teal, burgundy, blue and hunter on a palomino background, I'm going to order her a browband with colored stones to coordinate. And, I have a teal and black Hybrid on order, similar to Ann Cassidy's but with a black seat. I am being frivolous right now, simply because I can be. Hallelujah! :) Karen Thomas [EMAIL PROTECTED]
