I have a pair or two... And a fushia (they were sold on Ebay as
burgundy, they're *not* burgundy!) pair. And a pair of funky
green/gray that are winter breeches... Those are much too warm for our
climate, but I keep thinking maybe one day I'll need them. Then I have
two pairs of respectable wearing out navy and black breeches.

The Plaid that Dover sells (Fullseat Rider's Intl Euro Collection) are
really nice, and they're very slimming. They're really long in the
legs, about 2" longer than other brands, so that might be a problem
for you!
