I've found that combining click with PNH seemed to make PNH more enjoyable for my horse. He was definitely more interested, perky, friendly didn't have that sullen look that accompanied the carrot stick. I like it because I don't think my timing is quite there with PNH and have been told by a very nice instructor that I am a nag because I won't make contact with my horse and the carrot stick but keep uselessly hitting the ground next to him.
