Well put response, Karen.  I have seen a lot of upper level dressage
tests and sometimes you can tell that the horse is stressed and not on
a good way - probably brought along too fast, as Karen said.  Even
with the tail swishing, I didn't get the impression that this horse
was stressed in a negative way - just working hard at an atheletically
demanding level.  To me she looked like she liked what she was doing
and for an extreme athelete was as relaxed as her well toned muscles
would allow.  I think sometimes the tail swishing is a sign of
concentration, like a child biting his lip as he concentrates on a
hard task. Sometimes it is a sign of a horse getting angry and
frustrated.  This is probably one of, if not hte best, upper level
tests I have ever seen.
