My husband went out for a 'Sunday Drive' today, alone, with a camera--says he's going scouting for land. We've been talking about our farm now ever since Gat came into our lives and now with the addition of Orri my husband is more determined to find land.
What has held us off was not being sure of where we wanted to buy. We live and work in Moncton and thought for a while about getting land in the outskirts but we love our cottage area more--so, we've finally decided that we'd like to find land close to the cottage. The village where my husband grew up (his parents still live there) is only about 10 minutes from the cottage and hubby feels at home there and I like it too. There's a house with 95 acres for sale and another with 20 acres, so he's gone to check them out as well as see if there is any other land available. I'm so excited because the farm feels like it's coming closer to reality! We've been talking that we want to have our horses outside 24/7 all year with a run-in shed, so a 'herd' would probably be best to keep each other warm and for company. I'm thinking at least 4 or 5 horses--would that be enough? V
