I agree with Karen. I researched and researched and decided a treeless
was the best saddle (for me at least) I wouldn't ride in anything
else. The saddle pad is an important part of riding, in a treeless
saddle you want one made for treeless saddles- in any saddle you
should hae a treeless saddle pad. They are just better! I have talked
to so many people who ride in treed saddles and have horses with some
sort of back problem, try to nip girthing, bucking. I believe it's all
in the pad no matter what you use. I once rode a horse that would buck
at the canter every time (an arabian-not mine) and I rode her in a
treeless (Torsion treeless-western model ;)) and she didn't buck. I
rode her twice in the treeless- no bucking- I rode her in many
different treed saddle -she bucked every time- this is how I came to
the conclusion treeless is best. (The bucking was not horrible it was
just kicking out.) Anyway I think people who believe treeless saddles
arn't good just arn't informed about them but I do agree not all
treeless are created equal. Also I get my horses checked over once a
year and they've never had any problems.
